Today the SCCR had the privileged to host an event with the Faulty of Advocates with the purpose of creating a space for young people to discuss and learn about human rights.Through discussion some of the important things raised by young people included; knowing what your rights are, responsibilities, the cycle of poverty, bullying in schools, and issues of privacy.
There was an exploration of the legal system in relation to human rights and an important reflection was about how we have these discussions and where there may be conflicting ideas how we work though these in a non adversarial way.
What are the things that are important to you in relation to human rights? How can we, together bring about change and what, if anything could be different?
